Dear Friend of the 4th,

This year marks the 56th annual July 4th Celebration in Natick This year's celebration will honor our former colleague, friend and committee member, Jo Ann Becker, who passed away in October after long courageous battle with cancer. It is our intent once again to showcase the many organizations around town that have been doing their part to make Natick the great place that it is to work, live and play in. A sampling of this year’s events include: Mini Triathlon on Sunday, June 26th, Concert on the Natick Common on Monday, June 27th; Family Night on the Natick Common on Wednesday, June 29th; Children’s Concert on the Common on Thursday, June 30th and of course the 56th annual Parade on Monday, July 4th. Each event will include entertainment, food and fun for all ages.

The Friends of the Fourth is an all-volunteer organization; it does not receive any funding from the town of Natick. We are in dire need of your support. We need to rely on private/corporate sponsors like you to raise the approximately $35,000 plus that is required in order to put on this years celebration. There are many ways for you to help us meet our goals, including financial contributions, goods and services for the events; Red sponsors, those contributing $1,500 or more will be recognized by having their banner displayed at all events, in any promotional advertising and on our website; White sponsors, those contributing $1,000 will be recognized by having their banner displayed in the Parade, in any promotional advertising and on our website; and Blue sponsors, those contributing $500 will be recognized and in any promotional advertising as well as on our website. If you cannot support us at any of these levels but would like to participate please let us know and we will work with you personally to find a comfortable level.

The Natick 4th of July celebration is a special tradition in the greater MetroWest area. With your support we will be able to continue the tradition that started in the 1955.

Natick Mills Apartments is delighted to sponsor the Friends of the 4th Celebrations and Parade.

Built in the early 1900's the Dean Shoe Building was a cornerstone for the Town of Natick prosperity. The building in the 1970's was used as a "mill" warehouse and retail shop for fabric and its products, thus the name "The Mills at Natick" or "Natick Mills."

In 1986 a local family, seeing its historical value, purchased the property and converted it into its current use as an 83 unit apartment building. The Natick Mills is still owned and managed by the same family.

The building is located 6 blocks north of the center of town on Route 27. It is an easy 5-10 minute walk to the MBTA commuter rail (to Boston/Worcester), downtown shopping and TCAN - The Center for the Arts in Natick. The Natick Mills is minutes to all major shopping areas and minutes to all major highways including the Mass Turnpike, Routes 9, 95/128 and 2.
